The Banana Bentwood Chair, sometimes called the Melnikov Cafe Chair, is one of the most widely used designs of bentwood worldwide. Its sturdy construction, comfortable curved back, and wide range of colors make it popular in homes and commercial spaces worldwide.
The Banana Bentwood Chair is constructed by one of the first bentwood chair factories set up by Michael Thonet in the 1800s. This bentwood furniture factory has been in continuous operation since its inception in 1861. It is now just one of three original bentwood factories still in operation.
